Up to 90% of the U.S. Capitol Complex´s nonrecyclable solid waste will be shipped each year to local high-temperature incinerators and used to fuel generators that will produce electricity for the Capitol’s power grid, The New York Times reported.

Actually, biodegradable products dumped into large landfills generate methane gas. In the US in 2009, enough methane was harvested from landfills in the US to equal energy equivalent to that needed to power 14 million automobiles. Earth Nurture Additives have been proven to render commodity plastics biodegradable under landfill conditions. The EPA has been vastly overestimating landfill outgassing of methane, because of their ignorance of microbiology. Google methanotrophs , to learn more about that issue.
