First Choice Packaging introduces RF and heat-sealable 100% PCR PET packaging

NextLife Packaging Group partner First Choice Packaging has introduced the first RF and heat-sealable sustainable NextLife-certified packaging alternative developed to replace PVC and PETG in thermoformed clamshell and blister packaging. The new line of packaging is made with 100% post-consumer recycled PET from reclaimed water and soda bottles.

Offering clarity, performance, and tamper-proof sealing characteristics equal to PVC and PETG, according to NextLife, the new packaging is a practical alternative that is said to be cost-competitive with PVC and more economical than PETG. The new packaging also offers a significant carbon footprint reduction compared with PETG and is recyclable where #1 material is accepted, says NextLife.

According to Phil Rapp, NextLife Packaging COO, the new packaging is triple-certified on all levels of production and carries life cycle assessments and carbon footprint analysis. In addition to giving customers practical sustainable alternatives and advantages on sustainability scorecards, companies using NextLife branded products receive NPG’s full support, including marketing services and tools.
