Coffee products supplier Wilbur Curtis Co. switches to 100% recycled corrugated for its outbound shipments.
Montebello, CA-based Wilbur Curtis Co. (Curtis), a manufacturer of beverage brewing and dispensing products, has partnered with distributor Unitel Packaging (951/906-6708) to revitalize its packaging toward a more sustainable offering.
To help Curtis achieve this goal, Unitel turned to the Manufactured Packaging Products Group (MPP) for a solution. Headquartered in Southern California, MPP has several locations nationwide and is a manufacturer of custom and stock corrugated boxes.
MPP recommended using its Envirokraft® corrugated board made from 100% post-consumer recycled material for Curtis’ shipping cases.
States Curtis marketing manager Brant Curtis, “Curtis has been a long-time advocate for being responsible with the resources entrusted to us. Our partnership with MPP is just another example of the values that drive us as an environmentally minded company.”
Post-consumer material differentiates itself from recycled because its contents have already completed at least one product life cycle. Non-post-consumer recycled packaging contains remnants or scraps from the production process instead of products that consumers have used and deposited in a recycling bin.
