A new single-station multipack bottle handle applicator from Roberts PolyPro, powered by Pro Mach, has a rated throughput of 20 cases/min.
Designed for low total cost of ownership, high versatility, and simple operation, the machine can be ordered in either an automatic or semi-automatic configuration.
With a single head, the new applicator efficiently applies high-density polyethylene carrying handles to 4-, 6-, 12-, and 24-unit cases for most common bottle and jug sizes and material compositions. A single machine with changeparts will apply 2-, 3-, 4-, and 6-pack carrier handles.
According to the company, the recyclable HDPE 2-pack carriers are made with 41.5% less plastic than injection-molded handles. The handles lay flat for shipment, and therefore 67% more handles/pallet can be accommodated.
