Thanks greenguytwo. I will
Thanks greenguytwo. I will talk to purchasing department. The problem is sometimes there are big contracts that have already been signed then on the user end we are forced to use that product. Our buyers do listen but it takes many voices.
In the nursing practice I
In the nursing practice I appreciate a well kept package. Especially if it is the shipment of vaccines your clinic needs. I have worked for many years on the "other side" meaning the receiving of packages. If the container has the capabilities to keep the important medicine at the required temperature, that is even better. In the clinic where I work, it's primarily Epogen that comes in containers, cooled thermally. You guessed it I am a kidney dialysis/kidney transplant nurse!
Ranpak
I have been searching sites for packaging medical supplies. I am a kidney transplant nurse working with patients that are now at home. We need to send them a very expensive medication, a long with the supplies for delivery of the medication. It comes in small (patient injects with no greater amount than 0.25ml) glass vials. The medication is so costly a patient is only given a small amount at a time. So the long and short, our boxes must be filled with pack paper. I don't think what we use now is recyclable. I want to bring this to the attention of our buyers to see if that is something our health organization can look at.
Winner!!
Congratulations. I am a part time nurse and part time gardener. I also volunteer for an organization where bouquets are delivered to ladies. During my time at the theater I noticed I was becoming allergic to the sleeves! I searched and found the Taghleef and sure enough I'm not as itchy. Does anyone know if you they have other containers? I am thinking of home stuff now. Something obviously to hold a bouquet but low in carbon, and more energy, green conscious. Have you ever heard of this site: www.newprocontainers.com ? Once you get started thinking greener it's kind of fun to see if you can use something green or energy efficient.
You are exactly right! It
You are exactly right! It seems more and more people are going green. It's almost looked at in some areas of our country like "where have you been not practicing being green"? Maybe we are becoming more accepting in our solar system. I am on a search for "green"washer and dryer appliances , front loading, the ones that conserve on water, energy and time. I appreciate this article and would like to subscribe to

Glad to see that Proctor & Gamble are jumping on board with the packaging. They have a huge market in packaging (diapers) just to name one. I was also glad to see Nestle and Coca-Cola, Pepsi. I am glad to see an organization such as As You Sow asking companies to look at their packaging. I am just sure these giants can come up with a rapid prototype of an environmentally safe package solution. I don't think people realize how much waste is accumulated by health care.
