Amitabh (Amit) Sheth is an Environmental Policy Analyst/Researcher at Environmental Packaging International (EPI), a RI-based consultancy specializing in packaging sustainability and compliance with global product stewardship laws. Amit has been with EPI since 2005, assisting multinational clients with packaging, WEEE, RoHS compliance and tracking environmental regulatory developments in Eastern Europe and Southeast Asia jurisdictions. He has assisted clients with packaging fee reporting and has audited retailers and brand owners on environmental compliance and extended producer responsibility (EPR) laws. In addition, Amit has conducted Design for Environment (DfE) studies and Walmart Scorecard analyses for clients, assisting with package design, recyclability, and end-of-life scenarios.

Amit holds a degree in Environmental Policy and Management from the College of Environmental Science and Forestry (SUNY ESF). Prior to joining EPI, Amit worked as an Environmental Analyst in the New England region and served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Ukraine raising environmental awareness in local area schools.

EPI was founded in 1998 and provides expert consulting on a range of packaging and product stewardship issues. EPI clients include companies such as The Coca-Cola Company, The Estée Lauder Companies, Johnson & Johnson, Kraft Foods, MeadWestvaco, Microsoft Corporation, Nike, Starbucks and the Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company, trade associations, non-profits, and small companies that export packaged products. EPI is a founding member of the Sustainable Packaging Coalition.
