With the exit of Anne Johnson as director of GreenBlue’s Sustainable Packaging Coalition in late May, the SPC has officially launched its search for a new director. The Weinreb Group, a search consultant specializing in recruiting sustainability executives, is steering the process and has posted the job listing on their Web site.
According to GreenBlue, the director’s primary objectives will be to refine and implement the emerging long-range strategic plan, develop more robust methods for fulfilling the SPC’s mission, accelerate growth, and extend the reach of the coalition.
The GreenBlue Board of Directors and staff, as well as the SPC Executive Committee, will be closely involved in the search and selection. GreenBlue hopes to have a new director in place before the SPC Fall Members Meeting in September.
During the transition period, an interim SPC management team has been established, made up of senior manager Anne Bedarf, senior manager Minal Mistry, and project manager Liz Shoch, who will oversee ongoing SPC project work and strategic planning activities.
