Experts in sustainable packaging design

Alexis

President, AGMPM
Location: Athens, Attiki, Greece
Role: Consultant

I am the president of the Association of the Greek Manufacturers of Packaging and Materials (AGMPM) (www.pac.gr ) and the immediate past president of WPO (www.worldpackaging.org ).

I seek your personal help and cooperation on the following matter:

Our Association plans the organizing of workshops on “sustainable packaging design”, the first one in Athens in autumn 2009. For that purpose we are looking for a senior packaging designer, with proven practical involvement and experience in developing sustainable packaging innovations. He/she would be responsible for carrying out this first workshop, and potentially those which will follow. It will be a one or two-day workshop on actual structural packaging innovation with emphasis on food and beverage packaging. The workshop will be in English and addressed to Greek packaging designers and brand managers. It would be desirable that, well before the date of workshop, the participants are asked to come to the meeting with specific package propositions and or packaging designs. I would expect a strongly interactive session.

I would like to point out that we do not want seminar lectures on sustainability, on trends, or on sustainable packaging innovation. There have been several sessions in Athens up to now on this subject. Enough with it. What are needed are tools and transfer of experience on actual designing and innovation.

I would appreciate your comments.

President, D-Idea
Location: Kingston, Ontario, Canada
Role: Consultant

Hello Alexis,

I've delivered my share of lectures and articles on innovative ideas and solutions for source reduction and intuitive packaging. I'm also a trained facilitator for creative sessions such as you have described. If you visit my website www.d-idea.com or visit my profile on LinkedIN you can read a few of the recommendations I have received. I work with inventors as well so I'm very much an out of the box personality.

If you find my profile interesting then I suggest we discuss the scope of the workshop you have in mind. You can contact me via my website.

Hello,

I am Balaji I like to share my opinion with you that, in the resent tread the packaging is part and partial of our every day life. So we think to give good packaging which will not affect our ecology and customer friendly. Especially for our food items we should care in all aspects like selflife, funkles, natural colamity changes etc., so we should make the design in such a way that will not affect the pot life of the products and at less cost. Normally we use tetra pack with alluminium foil laminated with LLDP so that the material life and quality will not affect and we can store for a long time(for liquid items). For fruits we used bopp laminated with cpp will air holes on the pouches with zipper lock.

If any person has more ideas feel free to send.

Thanks & Regards,
S.Balaji
