- Yes Apr 14 2010
- At Earthcycle Packaging, we use the design brilliance of nature to turn palm fiber - a natural, renewable resource - into certified home compostable food packaging that is safe and durable, and decomposes within 90-days, making a healthy contribution to the earth.
- Ethical Sourcing
The raw fiber used in production for Earthcycle packaging is sourced from palm plantations in West Malaysia that have been assessed by SGS according to definitions established by the Roundtable for Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO). We can assure that Earthcycle's sources of raw material have not replaced any primary forest nor converted any Environmentally Sensitive Areas (ESA) for the purpose of palm oil production.
Compostable
Earthcycle Packaging is certified home compostable (ASTM D6400/D6868). Earthcycle will naturally biodegrade in a backyard, community, or industrial compost.
Renewable Resource
Palm fruit is harvested year-round, and the raw material cycle time for palm fiber is six months.
