- Water-based inks and adhesives are 10+ times better for the environment than solvent-based inks and adhesives - less than 5% VOC's (volatile organic compounds) compared to 50%+ VOC's. Renewable materials derived from plant starches and corn and are compostable in a municipal composting environment.
