Two media products for their wide-format eco-solvent ink-jet printers and printer/cutters are available from Roland DGA Corp.: Glossy Backlit Film (ESM-GBF) and Matte Backlit Film (ESM-MBF).
Glossy and Matte Backlit Films, premium 8-mil products with dimensional stability, are designed to produce vivid, high-density backlit images with a Dmax rating of 2.2.
The films print and dry quickly and are effective whether the lightbox is on or off. Certified for Roland’s VersaCAMM, VersaArt, and SOLJET PRO III Inkjets.

Amazing! It looks like the printing technologies are always going further. The first time I heard about this technology was at a brochure printing company, they were considering the option for special projects. This type of printing will probably fit in with some very interesting applications.
