Henkel North America and LBP Manufacturing have launched a partnership that they say will leverage the extensive resources of Henkel with LBP’s innovative foodservice-packaging product line to provide unique packaging solutions while meeting market demands for more environmentally responsible packaging.

Henkel and LBP will combine R&D resources to develop market-changing coatings, barriers, laminates and adhesives. The companies says that these products will represent the next generation of environmentally responsible packaging solutions for the foodservice industry and will allow both parties to expand their presence in foodservice markets.

“Through this partnership, the foodservice industry will see the onset of a new breed of packaging, focused on new uses of bio-based materials and source reduction,” says John Meccia, vice president – Paper Converting for Henkel.
